Festival regulation

The associations and the organizing groups of the Festival present the 2nd edition of NAZRA Palestine Short Film Festival – year 2018, an annual event for a traveling film festival that stems from the desire to:

  • spread among an interested and as wide as possible public the Palestinian film production, an important artistic and cultural manifestation as well as a significant message of resistance and self-determination of a country under civil and military occupation
  • highlight the excellencies of a valid artistic production, which is not well known by the general public due to inadequate distribution
  • spread the knowledge of the social and political situation in Palestine and in Israel, also with the contribution of non-Palestinian authors

The Festival’s goals are based on the respect and the promotion of human rights and people freedom, as well as woman’s liberation. The Festival also aims at promoting freedom of expression and a new relationship with a multiethnic and multi-confessional culture, by collecting or producing movies about Palestine.

NAZRA also aims at promoting workshops and international exchanges, through the new film production about Palestine by young Palestinian and International authors.

The NAZRA Palestine Short Film Festival is a traveling festival that will reach different Italian cities as well as Gaza and the West Bank, breaking down the barriers that separate Palestine from the rest of the world. It puts the focus again on the lack of respect for Human Rights on those territories and their people.
